“Black Mesa Korean Translation of the Closed Captions & the UI” will install closed captionings in Korean language to Black Mesa. This Workshop item will also change the game’s display language—such as the options menu, chapter titles, achievements and other graphical interface.

A careful research has been done extensively throughout the game files to ensure the quality of the translation is accurate. This translation also aims to provide a modest and easy–to–read translation that anyone can understand. We have made a sincere effort to have all of our translation in accordance with ‘Hangul Orthography,’—the official Hangul orthographic guidelines issued by the Government of Republic of Korea.


Install this addon (manually as instructed below) and turn on “Closed Captionings” from the Audio Options. Set your ‘Close Caption Language’ from the options menu as necessary. If you’re not planning to use this addon, do not subscribe.

1. Important Note: This Workshop item may not install automatically by subscribing to it. This is due to the current limitation with the Black Mesa workshop system. If you’re having problems with installing this file, you may need to follow additional steps for the game to manually recognise the close caption. Please visit the ‘Steam Guide’ web–site, or related help pages for more information on how to set up your Black Mesa Workshop files manually. Also, when a revision to this Workshop addon is available, you may need to manually apply the update yourself by following the same installation procedure again.
   
2. 한국어 지침 사항: 한국어 사용자 분들은 Steam 클라이언트 혹은 웹 브라우저의 언어를 한국어로 변경하거나, 「설치 방법—‘Black Mesa 한글 패치’」 Steam 토론 글을 방문하여 이 한국어 패치의 올바른 설치 방법을 반드시 읽어 주시기 바랍니다.
