This IS NOT a demonstration of a game, but a showcase of features and tools that are included in a development template that you can use to make your own game!

n00dFighter Template (NFT) doesn't try to be a complete system - there are a range of high quality tools at your disposal to add to your project to make it a unique experience, such as animations and input buffers, of which some integrations and methods are detailed in the documentation for your convenience.

What NFT does do is provide you with a solid multiplayer fighting game framework for you to build on top of, handling the fundamental elements of a fighting game from menu to game and back again - such as damage, round handling, multiplayer spawning, active player swapping, intro / victory / fatality cinematics, level progression, and so much more, with even more features added regularly!

To get you up and running instantly this template also includes a really basic input action system - but to get the most out of this kit it is recommended to purchase the recommended buffer alongside this template - it does the job incredibly well and is reasonably priced, so there's no need to reinvent the wheel here!

NFT is being used in an actively developed (yet unreleased) game and will be receiving free updates for foundational features and bugfixes as they arise. Child the classes outlined in the documents, or use the Child classes already created for you in the Example project, to receive direct updates in your own project!

Required products this template does NOT include

  • High-quality root motion fighting style animations (fighting games require special attention to animations, they are the driver of the tools found in this kit)
    Animation Mirroring Tool (for alt-stance, not needed if your animations are already mirrored)
  • Complex AI programming (for CPU enemies)

Recommended products to use in this template but not required

  • Input buffer (for handling complex combos). The base classes of this template are reparented to the InputBufferAdvanced plugin classes in a branch on the GitHub repo so you can receive updates AND use a third party buffer. This buffer is worth the coin and is highly recommended for getting the most out of your project.
  • Subsystem for your target platform (Steam, EOS, etc)
