Story and lore inspirations

Story

The SCP Foundation is a non-governmental organization with a high reign of the prosperity of humanity — while remaining in total secrecy. They were once dedicated to containing and researching anomalous entities of our world, protecting humanity under a shade of moral grey. This changed upon the discovery of SCP-5000.

SCP-5000 is a foreign entity discovered within the human psyche, a threat with nefarious intentions. The 05 Council, the heads of the SCP Foundation are consternated at the discovery. After thorough research into the discovery, it is determined the SCP Foundation must eradicate the anomalous entity — by exterminating the human race.

This is met with opposition amongst several members of the SCP Foundation, several defecting and going rogue against its objectives. The common belief within the defectors is that life would mean ill in pursuing the total annihilation of humanity. This launches a cadence of programs to attack civilian populations, including the Psi-Z program inside of Area 12.

The Psi-Z artificial entities, made with biological constructs from other entities such as SCP-008, SCP-940, SCP-939, and others are intended to be the workhorse killing machines for their omnicidal efforts. They are capable of brutal killing and mass infection.

Gameplay

You are a rogue fireteam going against the SCP Foundation. You are attempting to cripple the Psi-Z program and bring destruction to Area 12, the site that houses these efforts.
